How it works

One search, every photographer

After a race, photos end up spread over a dozen photographers and platforms. Pelari.my is a search switchboard. We ask each photographer's site to search your bib, then send you to the right albums.

What you'll see per gallery

• Photos found: the number of photos matching your bib on that site. Some sites match loosely (searching 2050 can also match C12050), so we show those as possible matches.
• Link with bib: opens the photographer's gallery with your bib already searched.
• No photos yet: that site found nothing (yet). Photographers often keep uploading for days.
• Link only: platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox and Facebook don't have a bib search we can use, so we link you to the album to browse.
• Didn't respond: a temporary hiccup. Tap the refresh icon to try that one again.
• Not available: the site failed 3 checks in a row. We re-check automatically, at most once every 15 minutes.
• Expired: the platform has removed the photos. Many galleries only stay up for 1–2 months after race day.

Same photographer, two platforms

Some photographers upload the same photos to two platforms. We show them as one row with an "also on" link, and we never add their counts together.

What we don't do

• We don't host, copy, or index photos. We don't run face recognition.
• We don't sell photos or take a cut. Listing is free for photographers.
• We don't need you to sign up to search.

For platform operators

Our server makes at most one small bib-search request per gallery for a given bib, and the answer is cached and shared by every runner who searches that bib (up to 24 hours while an event's photos are still being uploaded, up to 30 days after). Requests are queued per platform (RaceSniper: one at a time), back off for at least 2 minutes on HTTP 429, and are sent with the user agent Pelari.my-bot/1.0. We only do this where a platform allows it; Photohawk galleries are linked, not queried. To ask us to slow down or stop, email hello@pelari.my.
